Design Marco ZANUSO & Richard SAPPER | Developed from the 1964 TS 502, this portable radio, by Brionvega the Italian maker of the famous Alpha, Algol and Doney TVs, combines the charm of the past with modern technology. A cube with rounded corners and a glossy finish, it evokes a sense of solidity with its shape and of delicateness by its lines. | This radio is mythic because of its contribution to the image of Italian design. Depending on your mood it can be used in an open or closed positions. | Two hinged cube-shaped bodies, made of ABS, washable, unchangeable. A light shell, made in two pieces that open symmetrically, available in the classical colours, bright orange, snowy white and yellow. Poetic already in their name. A loudspeaker grid in aluminium alloy, a high-sensitivity extendable aerial. Tuning bands and memorized frequencies signalled by LED. Precision in the smallest details, a careful choice of materials. High technology, assembled by careful craftsman.
